When hip replacement surgery is required the
shell socket implant also called the acetabulum,
is part of the hip replacement set which includes
the steam, ball, and shell socket which allows 1
the leg to rotate and move forward, backward,
and sideways.
The shell socket is typically fabricated from
titanium or cobalt-chrome-based alloys with
inner Polyethylene linear.

special turning, milling, drilling, and threading
tools for manufacturing shell socket implants.
