        Cost Per Unit (CPU) reduction
        The bottom line for automotive OEM manufacturers
        is the cost of producing a part and cutting tools
        represents a variable cost factor in setting a cost
        per unit parameter.

        Leading metalworking companies applied this
        concept to create new generation products with
        multiple cutting edges, with ISCAR developing a
        range of multi-edged products that includes the
        HELIQMILL, a tool family with three cutting edges
        that “evolved” from the well-known HELI2000 family.
        The HELIIQMILL HM90 ADCT 1505 HELI2000 radial
        clamped insert with two helical cutting edges was
        adapted to integrate three edges, resulting in the
        HM390 TDKT 1907 HELIIQMILL radial clamped
        triangular insert with three helical cutting edges
        while retaining the same price level.
